It is female persona and a virtual idol developed by Sapporo based company named Crypton Future Media. HAtsune Miku uses Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 2 synthesizing technology in its product. Vocaloid is known as a singing synthesizer which is an application developed by Yamaha Corporation. This application enables the users to synthesize singing though the process of typing in the lyrics and the melody. The term Vocaloid refers to a singing synthesizer developed by Yamaha Corporation, Japan by which you can synthesize a song by just typing the lyrics and melody. The Voice actress named Saki Fujita provided the voice for Hatsune Miku character.

Or any human's for that matter. This will be the U.S. debut for , who sells out stadium concerts in her native Japan. How does Hatsune Miku fit into the realm of Intellectual property? Wouldn't the very creation of Hatsune Miku and all of her music, performances, and existence be a new idea or creation. Taking her as a creation, wouldn't then we be able to call anything she creates, even if it is a re-creation of another's work, a new piece of art? Just comparing Japanese culture to the American culture and looking at copyright and intellectual property laws, could they work on an even ground?

Contrary to what many fans may like to think, the first Japanese Vocaloids were actually Meiko and Kaito. They never received much attention until after Rin and Len Kagamine were released, and eventually the sales of these two Vocaloids (notably Kaito) soared. Is a Japanese pop star who draws thousands of fans from across the world. She is tiny, has green hair and sings whatever fans want her to. Hatsune Miku is also a hologram. But Miku isn't like any other pop star in existence — she's a computer-generated virtual celebrity. Users of Nico Nico Douga would post videos with songs created from this software. There were remixes of original songs and also new creations. You might have heard of Miku by now. I only did recently, but I find this new evolution in music fascinating. Hatsune Miku (????) "is a singing synthesizer application with a humanoid persona, developed by Crypton Future Media. In essence she is a crowdsourced star. The software in return supports amateur artists and their work.
